TJ Heagerty is the Founder and Owner of Navitas Risk Insurance Services, an independent insurance agency based in Centerport, New York.
Before starting Navitas Risk, TJ spent over six years as a Commercial P&C Underwriter at a top national auto dealership MGA and program administrator, where he specialized in underwriting new and used auto dealerships across the country. Through this experience, he developed a deep understanding of the complexities of commercial garage package insurance.
At Navitas Risk, TJ brings that underwriting expertise directly to the retail side — helping clients secure tailored insurance solutions through a faster, more transparent, and technology-driven process. His focus is on simplifying insurance for dealerships and commercial businesses, combining industry knowledge with a modern, client-first approach.
Originally from Huntington, New York, TJ is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan. He founded Navitas Risk to bring a fresh perspective to the insurance industry — one that emphasizes efficiency, clarity, and lasting relationships built on trust and expertise
